Jumbo Granny Square Blanket or Rug

This vibrant, speedy project is built from just six classic granny squares worked in a plush, extra-thick yarn. Each motif is worked in the round in double crochet, and the squares are then joined with a thinner yarn for easy assembly. Use it as a cozy throw or as a cushy rug.

Techniques You'll Use

Granny squares, double crochet, half double crochet, chain stitches, color changes and an invisible join.

Why Makers Love It

Big yarn and big stitches mean the project comes together fast, and the bold squares make a statement in any room. Choose colors that match your decor or go multi-colored.
